Fambam Weekends

#FamBam is always the hashtag for Gastardo Family.  I started the tradition of bringing the whole family to travel anywhere in the Philippines.

For year 2018, these were our family outings:

Feb 10-11 - Hot Air Balloon Festival, Pampanga

Finally, we witnessed one festival in Luzon. The picnic with other families on the airport grounds was one of a kind experience. The hot air balloon flight and other exhibitions were worth the while.

Our first time to witness the flying of hot air balloons.

In the morning, we joined other families in picnicking at the airport grounds.

That afternoon, we visited the Nayong Pilipino and relived the classic Filipino culture and heritage.

Mar 10-11 - Anvaya Cove, Morong, Bataan

The family of my best friends, Jun and Ruth Go, spent a weekend at Anvaya Cove. They invited us for an overnight. And so we went. This resort is exclusive for members who basically owned a vacation house in the area. So for one night, we experienced being rich.
Invited by Go Family, we spent a hot day and cool night at the exclusive Anvaya Resort

Our way home, made us drop by the Dambana ng Kagitingan at Mount Samat, Pilar, Bataan

May 12-16 - Surigao del Sur and Norte

It has become our tradition to visit our hometown in Anao-aon, Surigao del Norte every mid-May to visit our father's tomb and celebrate his death anniversary. This year however, we made a sidetrip to Surigao del Sur's tourist destinations.

Staycation at Okada with Bestfriends

November 1-3 - Hundred Islands, Alaminos, Pangasinan

A 3-day weekend was long enough to enjoy a vacation in the northwestern Luzon. We booked a transient house for 2 nights and arranged island hopping from there.
