"One In A Million" by Bosson

I don't know what has got me but I have been singing this song even in my dreams since December 2010. As a trivia, this is the soundtrack of the box-office movie Miss Congeniality starred by Ms. Sandra Bullock. She's my idol in romantic comedy, so I guess this has contributed to this madness I had for the song. Well, in fairness, the song's melody and the lyrics both has something to say. And it's good, danceable and easy listening kind of music. I love it! I have an mp3 file in all my gadgets, from the office-issued to my personal laptop computer, from my nokia to samsung phones.

And so I would like to share the lyrics with you so that you can sing along with me everytime we hear this song.

Here it is.

You're one in a million
Oh
Now
You're one in a million
Oh

Sometimes love can hit you every day
Sometimes you can fall for everyone you see
But only one can really make me stay
A sign from the sky
Said to me

You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us

I've been looking for that special one
And I've been searching for someone to give my love
And when I thought that all the hope was gone
A smile, there you were and I was gone

I always will remember how I felt that day
A feeling indescribable to me
Yeah
I always knew there was an answer for my prayer
And you, you're the one for me

You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us

You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us

In the beginning I was cool and everything was possible
They tried to catch me but it was impossible
No one could hurt me it was my game
Until I met you baby and you were the same
And when you didn't want me I wanted you because
The funny thing about it is I liked the show
I like it when its difficult
I like it when its hard
Then you know its worth it
That you found your heart

You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us

You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us

You're one in a million
Oh
You're one in a million

How to Keep Your Money Safe while Traveling

Manila Bulletin - Wednesday, January 19

To keep your money safe while traveling, you should not put all your money in one place, put only very minimal local currency in your pocket, use security pouches for your money, bring your fanny pack along instead of your tote or purse, leave some of your money in the hotel safe, and keep a list of bank phone numbers and other important details with you.

You never know what might happen when you are traveling. That is why it is very important to keep your money safe at all times when away from home. If you do not want your plans and your trip to fall apart, here are some simple steps you can follow to keep your money safe while traveling:

1. Do not put all your money in one place

First, it is advisable not to put all your money in one place. If your wallet gets lost or stolen, you will have nothing left. It is always wise to break up your money and put it in different pouches. You can put a small amount in your wallet, some in your pocket, and some in other pouches.

2. Put only very minimal local currency in your pocket

You need to put some money in your pocket to pay for transportation, as well as other little things you will need. The idea is to always keep it to a minimum so that if you lose it or a pickpocket steals your money, it will not paralyze you on your journey. Use a money clamp to avoid dropping your bills and keep them organized in your pocket.

3. Use security pouches for your money

Security pouches, such as money belts, are very important in keeping your money hidden from burglars. You can place your larger sum of money in your money belt, as well as your credit cards and even very minimal jewelry you might use for a party. If you have already used the money in your pocket, take some from your security pouch discreetly in a private place, such as in a restroom. Money belts can be worn under your clothing to keep them undetected by thieves. Other security pouches also come in waterproof materials to keep your money and other valuables safe even if you go swimming or get soaked in the rain.

4. Bring your fanny pack along instead of your tote or purse

If you are torn between using a tote or purse and keeping your money safe, consider using a fanny pack. Fanny packs are less attractive to thieves than purses and totes. A fanny pack or belt bag comes in handy especially when walking around the streets. To keep your belongings more secure, wear your pack in front of you to keep your valuables visible at all times.

5. Leave some of your money in the hotel safe

Should you go shopping at the mall or have dinner at fine restaurants, considering leaving some of your money and other valuables inside the safe in your hotel room. Just bring enough money for your transportation and other minimal expenses, as well as a little extra, and bring your credit card along for other spending needs.

6. Keep a list of bank phone numbers and other important details with you

Not only the money in your pocket is at stake when traveling. Your credit cards, debit cards, and traveler's checks may also be at risk for theft and loss, so keep a list of your bank's phone numbers, as well as your traveler's check numbers. Just in case the unfortunate happens, you can immediately report the incident to your bank and prevent the thieves from accessing your money.

With these simple tips, you can enjoy traveling more than before. Whether on a business trip or a vacation, these suggestions can lessen your anxiety and keep your plans intact.

The Other Side of Me

I had never done this in my high school years; I was closet then. I never did this in college though I was out but behave. The thought made me smile. But I already did this once during my gay community's christmas party. But then again, I thought of doing it over as a tribute to my Surigaonon friends and as an extravaganza during the opening of Kody's Music Bar in Surigao City. The bar is owned and managed by Tony and Alming Yu, a good friend of mine.

So there we dared, Al and I, dressed in drag, grabbed the microphones, braved the front stage and performed as stand-up comedians. I initiated the throwing of punchlines and Al did the singing for just 30 minutes audienced by the newlywed couple (my sister En and her hubby Jun), my neighbors, my friends, and other guests. A glimpse of the one-night-only performance on January 8, 2011 is here below:

I would like to thank Ganni for my gown. Al would also like to thank Ancyz for his gown.

I LOVED HER FIRST

It was January 8, 2011 when my sister En and his long-time boyfriend decided to marry. The couple and me planned and prepared for the wedding the whole year of 2010. The following selected photos showed the highlights of my sister's BIG DAY:
