Family Weekend in Libis and beyond

A devotion to Senior Padre Pio,,,

I decided one morning to treat my whole family to a breakfast all you can in Libis, Quezon City. Since it was Saturday, we decided to drop a visit at the Padre Pio Chapel.

It was my first time to be there, so did my family. Thus it was a memorable church visit. My parents were able to venerate the miraculous saint.

The surrounding of the chapel is worth a peek, especially the walkway where the devotees hung their rosaries to mark their visit and leave their petitions.

The Eastwood Circle was the next stop where we occupied a table inside the Something Fishy restaurant for a buffet breakfast. The sumptuous meal was fully enjoyed because of our very "makulit" Baby Wanwan who you would think eats like an adult.

Actually, the breakfast was just a layover. I was hired to emcee a debut party and that noon was our first meeting with the parents in Taytay, Rizal. It was another joyride for my whole family.

On another occasion, on January 1, 2015 our whole family enjoyed a Sunday Mass at the noted Antipolo Church, the shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

It was one of the best new year celebration our family had here in Manila. We were somehow complete because Mama and Papa were around to celebrate it with us.

We never realized that that was our last new year with Papa Tantong.
