On my way to Dili, Timor Leste on August 3, I had a short layover in Bali. I treated it as the appetizer. Such a quick stay at Novotel and grabbed few snapshots of Balinese architectures on my way back to the airport.
It was on August 17 on my way back to Manila that I stayed one weekend in this famous island. Had my booking confirmed and complete at Lotus Tirta Seminyak Hotel. Although locating it was difficult, had been dragging my luggage from the dropoff point (the taxi driver tricked me!) up to about a kilometer that I finally found it, I was accommodated to a villa all to my own.
The hotel I found out was within the touristy area; a walking distance to the Seminyak White Beach. After having settled down, I followed the direction to the beach and have witnessed the wonderful sunset like no other. I loved the ambience, the energy, and the long shoreline of powdery white sand.
Sunset viewing here -- where I realized why Bali is attractive to all international tourists. I will definitely come back for this reason only.

I hired a private car to show me around on August 18. I got the whole day on board a black Toyota Innova with a 21yo driver-tour guide. Of course, I would follow the usual formula for first-timers in the island. I went straight to the Ubud area and then drove back passing all best spots with Balinese signatures.

I flew back to Manila on August 19, so fulfilled with Bali, plus that hope of coming back again.
